Zofran?? Morning sickness?!

I am 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child.  I have morning sickness pretty bad that seems to last all day. And the only thing that seems to work is Zofran. How many of you guys have taken nausea medication? I just read a couple articles that say there may be harmful side effects to the baby taking Zofran which scares me.... Any ideas? Or comments?

I'm on Zofran now I'm 9w. I was on the whole first pregnancy as well

I took zofran for the first 3 months, it's the only thing that worked for me

I would take it at all!!! Link to heart problems and cliff lip my doctor would not give it to me at all third pregnancy later and he still will not give it to me :/ he said he would rather me smoke cannabis then give me a script for that

I skipped it, but was able to suck it up...I'm not sure how bad yours is, but I'd try Unisom first.

I'm almost 29 wks pregnant but I still have a pretty bad case of all day nausea. I've been taking Diclectin 3-4x a day & it really helps with the nausea. Only side effect is it makes you sleepy.

Diclegis was a LIFE SAVER for me! It's one of the very few Category A drugs for pregnancy!

My brothers fiancé took it with her first kid & he had cleft lip. He was also a little slow when it came to talking & stuff. Wasn't able to talk till he was three.

I'm sorry I burly got this medication but I'm on my second trimester. With my first  child I did especially the liquid ( kept getting admitted, Nd became high risk, and it was during the first trimester) my child is perfectly healthy except several allergies but it's unrelated to medication.
 I  do know my doctor ( for second pregnancy) is refused during the first trimester because she didn't like the side affects during that time. 
But honestly, I know every doctor has their own personal interest and disinterest on certain medication.  Me and 4 other family members were pregnant during the same time. And honestly all our doctors allowed, and didn't allow different medications. None of us had the same paper so when we had problems and our medications didn't work we would group message since each other doctors gave an ok list that were different. 
So If your doctor says it's fine than just trust him/her. If you don't and still question than I would get another doctor.

My doctor also wouldn't let me take zofran...even now she won't give it to me and I'm 18 weeks. I tried Phenergan (gel and pill), Diclegis, and Reglan...nothing worked for me. I have been to the ER twice and have lost 21 pounds so I finally begged an urgent care doctor to give me zofran and he did so I'm taking it now on my bad days despite my doctor not wanting me to. It's the only thing that helps me at all. I took it my whole first trimester with my now 4 year old son though.

I take diclegis and it did help me a lot. My symptoms improved by about 50%. I take it 4× a day but women in Canada apparently can take up to 6 doses a day. It causes fatigue due to the antihistamine but I have taken benadryl and unisom for so many years that it didn't affect me much on that front.
