DockATot??

Question

Does anyone have a dock a tot for their baby? My son is almost 6 weeks old and it's not sleeping good at night. He's in a rock and play and wakes up every 2 hours. But if I sleep with him he will sleep longer so I wanted to try one. Anyone else have one??

We have a dockatot and it's been amazing. We are 8 weeks and definitely glad we splurged on this. He only gets up once at night, sleeps great and loves being snug in there. We have other bassinets and cosleepers but he does not settle in them like he does this. It's like he's being hugged I think! It's worth the money because of this and because it's special material makes it breathable and safe. Not worth finding a cheap alternative as there really isn't an alternative that has the same material (beware homemade or knock off versions- dangerous!! This one is expensive because if they end up face smushed in the side they can breathe!). You can open up the bottom so as they grow their legs have room and it's supposed to be a snug fit around top. I don't know how long we will be able to use it but my understanding is that babies enjoy using it even if they don't look like they will fit :)

The ones I have seen are over $200, has anyone been able to find something cheaper but still as good as a dockatot? What is the length that it is good till as my baby was born 21 inches and I don't want to spend the money for him to only be able to use it for a month or two.

My son is 11 weeks old.  Would it even be worth it to buy one now? He only naps well when being held so I thought maybe he would nap better in the Dockatot. He sleeps so well in his crib at night but wakes up right away when put in it for naps and after 30 minutes in his rock n play.  He will sleep 2+ hrs in my arms.

We have a sleepyhead in England think it's the same thing? My baby LOVES it. We bought it when he was 2 weeks old after getting no sleep as he would only sleep on our chests but he has slept in this amazing since the day we bought it!! He now sleeps 7:30pm-9:30pm with one feed in between in his sleepyhead. It's in his cot too so hoping it will make the transition into his own room easier at 6months as he is already used to it.

We do, he sleeps very well in it. The arms reach cosleeper was just hard and uncomfortable for him to sleep in.

Yes! Our baby loves it - we use it mainly for naps!
