tips to entertain newborn?

My baby is 4 days old and I wondering how I entertain her while she is alert looking around?

You stare at them and hold them. That's about it for a 4 day old. Nothing they see is clear.

When they are that young the only entertaining they will be able to learn from is just talking and smiling when they are looking at you. You can rattle toys but it can be too much for their developntal age

I did lots of eye contact, talking and singing. The newborn stage is wicked boring lol

Hold them, rock then, love them. Swings and noise makers at great. Sing and read to them. They can really only make out fuzzy black and white and fuzzy outlines of things that are about 8-12 inches away.
