Does swollen mean labor soon?

This whole pregnancy so far nothing has become swollen ( I'm 37 weeks today) then out of no where last night I noticed my ring wouldn't come off and my feet were a little puffy as so my face. I don't really remember much, but if I remember correctly with my first(this is my second) I became extremely swollen and a few days later my water broke at home. Does this mean labor is near? I'm kinda of scared because I have a scheduled c section the 4th of April and I really want to make the date for the fact i don't want my husband to miss it because he's working
