Age Differences 🙃
When I first started going out with my boyfriend in September 2015, he had turned 17 in the February of that year while I had only just turned 16 in May. When it came around to us having been together for only six months, he was from that point onwards a legal adult and I was still to be 16 for another almost four months.
   None of my family or friends really knew about him until after his 18th birthday, and so when it came to asking me about how old he was, I felt kinda anxious admitting that he was already 18 while I was still only 16. Even now when people ask and I tell them that he turned 19 last month, I still feel almost kinda guilty just knowing that I'm still not a legal adult yet myself and I'm with one. Sure, I'm only two months off being 18 myself and once we get even older, it's gonna pretty much become a non-issue, but there's still something that makes me feel kinda grimy about myself because I'm an underage girl with a 19 year old guy.Â
   I was just wondering if anyone else has ever been in the same kinda situation or had the same kinda feeling about the age difference between themselves and their partners. Thank you! 🙂
