Forming a new allergy while pregnant?

Is it possible to form a new allergy while pregnant? I feel like I'm allergic to my bed spread all of a sudden 😫 I've had it for so long and I wash it weekly, so idk what it is.

Happens even when not pregnant. My husband developed a shrimp allergy out of no where a few years ago. You can also grow out of them. Bodies are weird sometimes!!

Yes it can even happen while not pregnant. I just got it confirmed a few weeks ago I'm allergic to my wedding ring even though I wore it everyday for a yr and a half.

It's not that you have a new allergy we just become more sensitive to fragrances/cleaning detergents

The other week I thought I started to become allergic to washing up liquid as after washing up my hands became red, itchy and sore until my partner told me instead of mixing water with the last bit of washing up liquid as we had run short he mixed floor cleaner with it. I could've killed him, still now my one hand is still itchy.

I think so! I've been using Aveeno body lotion for years now and all of a sudden I started breaking out in a rash every time I put it on. It started when I was about 5 or 6 weeks pregnant.

Yes- the slight allergies I had prior to my pregnancy are much more pronounced now. No almonds for me!

Yes! I became allergic to eggs at 14 weeks... was literally the only thing I could hold down until 11 weeks then bam allergic one morning 😒

Yes! I talked to my doctor about my allergies last week. I've developed new ones and my old ones are worse. She said it's because your immune system weakens to allow for a healthy pregnancy so the body doesn't reject the baby.
