what is so special about dockatot?

I just don't get it. They are SO expensive and I don't understand the hype! Someone explain it to me? I just had my first a year ago and had never heard of them, and now that I'm about to have my second I just don't see the point of spending so much money on something so unnecessary.

Hmm interesting. See I just feel like swaddeling would do the same thing. My friend got a dockatot and ended up taking a sleeping class bc her baby wouldn't sleep more than 1-2 hrs at a time. Probably depends on the baby I guess.

I don't know from experience, this is my first, but I want one. From what I've read on here and seen on YouTube videos, supposedly they are very comforting for the baby and it helps them sleep. We will have our baby in a bassinet by our bed for the first few months and I plan to put the dock a tot in there to make him more comfortable. Hopefully it works.
