How is it being a single mother? How do you do it? Is it hard?

Answer

I've been raising my son alone since he was born. Even in the hospital after having a C section I still crawled out of bed to pick him up out of the bassinet thing to BF. Some days are harder that others. But as long as you stick to a schedule then you can plan more things. I'm a teacher so he goes to day care during the day but when I was on spring break I had to plan showers and meals around his nap schedule and then when he goes to sleep I go to sleep at night or I would be exhausted. But it's not too bad. When I cook or clean I just put him in his high chair with toys and bring him in the room I'm in and he is content. I've learned how to keep him occupied when I need to get stuff done.

I'm not a single mom but my husband is deployed so it's just me and my daughter currently. It is hard (to me at least) sometimes I just wish my husband was home to at least hold her for me. I wish he could be here to help me grocery shop because that's a pain in the butt especially if I need to pee while we are out and I have no where to put her lol I wish he was here to cook dinner on the nights that my daughter is so fussy I can't lay her down and then I don't get to eat until 9+ pm. I'm literally so over this deployment lol like I've been doing everything just fine, we're both still alive, but if I had to chose I would have his help.
