when to move baby to his own room??

Right now my son (7weeks) sleeps in our room in a rock and play. He sleeps a 3-4 hour stretch then is up ever hour- 2 hours after that. I've been trying to have him nap in his crib to get used to it, but I almost think he would sleep better in his own room. Our bed is noisy. My husband is a noisy sleeper. And I feel like all these things wake my baby up. But is 7 weeks to young to transfer them to their own room? Any opinions are welcome!
