Makeup Artist!

I'm a self thaught Makeup Artist and have only done looks on myself and a few other people (instagram: makeup_mouse_ if anyone would like to see 😃) I want to be able to do more work in that field whether that be free lancing or working in a salon type environment. Can anybody give me any information on this field? Do I need a certification? (If so what would you suggest taking?) how can I get started as a free lance makeup artist? And any other tips or info that you would like to share 😁
