cervix check?

Is it even necessary?? I went in for my 37 week checkup yesterday and I am .5 opened lol after I left I was hurting soo bad and soo soar and in pain I was wobbling around I'm definately not going to my next appointment is it even necessary to get check this early on? I mean really?? I was perfectly fine before and Im still working and everything but as soon as I left my appointment yesterday I was in soo much pain 🙅🏼
