I'm getting my booster this week. Unfortunately because of the non-vac trend going around, whooping cough outbreaks are happening. Baby can't get the vaccine until 6 months (I think, it might be later) and whooping cough can be deadly for an infant. The best way to protect a newborn is by getting the tdap shot while pregnant and then making sure that anyone who will be around the baby a lot is up to date on their shots too.

I def will. You need to get it in your third trimester so that it protects you and also offers some protection for baby. I highly advocate for it. You def don't want baby to get pertussis!

I'm getting mine at my appointment next week at 28weeks.  They say the benefits cross over the placenta to the baby.  My doctor wants my husband and anyone else who's going to be around the baby updated. Whooping cough has been going around.
