Unfortunately I'm one of those woman that can't dilate. This is my second pregnancy. I'm 38 weeks & 1 day. I'm 1 & 1/2 centimeters dilated. With my son I was at 1 & 1/2 centimeters dilated when they induced me & I was 39 weeks & 5 days. I was at the hospital on a Thursday night & I had my son Friday night (a day before my due date) I wasn't dilating fast enough so I was told I may have to have a c section but I told them no that I'll wait a little longer. Thankfully I went from 6 centimeters to 10 & then started pushing. I haven't been able to dilate much at all this this pregnancy. My doctor said I'd be best to wait because I really don't want a c section but I'm so miserable. My mom & most of the woman in my family have had c sections because they can't dilate so I'm assuming it's hereditary. This will be my last pregnancy I hope so I just want it to go by smooth.

I need suggestions on how to induce my labor or thin my cervix! Something that has worked for any of you!
