Anemia?

Soo i got poked in my finger today and doctor said my iron was a little low possibly anemia? Anyways did andyone ever go through this did you actually take the supplement or did you eat more things with iron....

I was diagnosed with aniema because I always felt like I couldn't breath, got lightheaded often, and I took the supplements my doctor said to and everything got better. If your doc said to take it I would, it can be hard to get the iron you need daily strictly through foods, especially since your already lacking

I was diagnosed mild anemic too. I had to start taking iron supplements 4 days ago. Currently awake since 3:30am from shortness of breath but I have noticed my restless legs have gotten better.

I was diagnosed last night when I went to labor and delivery because I felt off. Started taking iron supplement today and I'm so excited to get my energy back. I've been so exhausted the past few weeks.

My iron is really low so I have no choice but to take the supplements otherwise I have zero energy.

This is my 4th pregnancy and first time with anemia. There for a while I was totally narcoleptic and had zero energy. I took one type of iron pill and had a lot of side effects. My dr switched me to a lower dosage and I feel much better. I have more energy (not tons because pregnant!). He told me that once I have the baby I'll still be taking pills for a few more months because my body's supply was depleted and I'd need to restock it. Everyone is different and your dr will know what you need.
