Am I crazy for not wanting an epidural? I'm just scared since I have lower back problems and I'm afraid they gonna messed up my back

Nah, I was certain I was going to go without one too. Ended up getting one after being in labor for 26 hours and not being able to sleep because every time I drifted off the contractions woke me up. I was mad at myself for caving at first, but it ended up being the best decision I could have made, because I was in labor for another 10 hours after the epidural was administered and I pretty much slept that whole time, and the nurses said that me getting that sleep was the reason I only pushed for 15 minutes.

Do what works for you. Your baby will get here either way

Not crazy at all I had an epidural with 2 and 3 without and it was not worth it to get the epidural my back is still fucked up from it

I didnt have epidural in my first labor and I plan not to have it in this one. Dont worry if you think You can handel all the pain just dont have it.

I also have tons of back problems and am not planning on an epidural(I've had epidural nerve blocks that did nothing for my pain too)! So many people try to talk me out of it. Look, I didn't try to talk you out of having one. To each their own. I'm not anti epidural and understand that hey, I MAY end up getting one but I'm going in not planning on it. Whatever it takes to get this baby out!!

I don't want an epidural either. But because with my first son they took three tries to get it right, and durning the second attempt they took out spinal fluid. I was incapacitated for almost 2 months with severe spinal headaches do to it. And I've also had lower back and leg problems. So I'm just scared it will further exacerbate it.
