38 Weeks - NICU Time?

Our doctor is planning on inducing our twin boys at 38 weeks. We haven't had any health trouble so far. (Praise God) As thrilled as I am to have my body to myself and to kiss two tiny faces early, I was wondering if other mamas had little ones born at 38 weeks and whether or not they spent time in the NICU. Thanks for the information!

38 weeks is considered full term. Depending on the health of the baby, theres shouldnt be a NICU stay. Some hospitals have special care nurseries for babies who need a little more care, but arent as severe as nicu babies. But like i said, depending on if your baby is eating and breathing correctly, and no health problems, there shouldnt be a need for a NICU or special care stay at 38 weeks.
