Newborn rules?

Question

When/if you had visitors in the hospital, did you have rules for your baby? Like no kissing or no pictures? If so did people actually follow those rules? Was it a struggle? What were some strategies used to make sure those things didn't happen? Ftm & I'm anxious! Due in about 10 more weeks 💜

The only rule I really enforced was the visiting thing...I wanted time to get breastfeeding in order etc. Before I started handing him off to people (which I hated the thought of for the first 3 months! Lol) when my second came, it was a free for all. Except the obvious no posting on social media before me. I imagine it will be the same with my third.

I'm not letting anyone visit my baby girl at the hospital besides my parents and my husband parents. I'm waiting for people to come to my house to visit her

No pics on social media until I post one. 
No coming until a few hours after the baby is born. 
If you smoke before you come in the hospital change your clothing, brush your teeth, wash your hands EXTRA good. (None of my family smokes but my fiances whole family does and they are not the cleanest or most cautious people)

I think I'll just be having family visit in the hospital and everyone else can wait until we're home and settled, definitely no kissing until they've been vaccinated and no pictures without permission. Don't take any chances with your child x

Well, I was always happy that relatives came and my friends but they never stayed that long, just brought presents seen baby and left. But anyone who is sick can't hold or be around baby .. the world is full of all kinds of sickness.. it can be anything now and days.. But lately doc offices and so forth been asking alot of questions and making people put on masks and things

I'm pregnant and I'm due in September I actually have a rule when my baby is born no pictures on social media period just give me my space no pictures at all

Everyone who visited me used common sense, no one kissed the baby anywhere aside from the top of the head, no one came who was sick, everyone asked permission before holding or touching etc.. if someone had acted out of line I would've just told them outright. "Don't kiss her face" "don't do this or that". Just be assertive and if they're pissed off, blame it on hormones or exhaustion 🤷🏽‍♀️ you just had a baby, people tend not to take it to heart and just listen.
