Feel like there's something going on down there..

I've never had any type of infection down there, I've read a lot of signs and situations on here that help you spot an infection but now I'm a bit confused. I've been on birth control for over a year and because of it I always have creamy white discharge, however I feel like lately I feel like I've been getting a bit more discharge than usual and that the smell is different, quite strong and a bit unpleasing if I don't shower every night before bed, which before it didn't happen. However, the texture of my discharge is not any different like it would be with a yeast infection, nor I have itchiness or any other symptoms. I didn't change my diet either so that couldn't be a factor. Any suggestions?
