CUT DOWN THERE PLS HELP

I recently had sex and we were way too rough and he cut me with what I'm assuming was his finger nails and I'm in an extreme amount of pain. I am supposed to get my period any day now, I am so scared that my period is going to make this even worse. (I usually use tampons and I'm assuming I should probably use pads) my question is can someone please give me some advice or reassurance. Do you think i need to go to the gyno? I haven't been for t first appointment yet but I have an appointment may 8th. I don't have a good relationship with my mom so I don't know what to do. I'm just freaking out and it hurts extremely bad when I pee. I have a really high pain tolerance and I'm literally in tears every time I urinate
