Does anyone not want to give their baby cow milk?

I keep reading about moms replacing their baby's breast milk/formula with cow's milk around 1 and I kind of don't want to give my son milk at all. I don't use it for much except cereal and even then for a long time I used almond milk. We breastfeed and I don't really understand why I would need to replace it with milk from another animal. Plus the amount of junk in most milk is kind of off-putting (hormones, pus, etc) and I'm not sure I want my son to drink it at all, at least until he's old enough to choose it for himself.

So my question is, are you giving or do you plan on giving your baby cow milk? When did you start offering it? If you're not giving it, why? What did you offer baby instead? I guess I don't really understand the point of giving it to him. Right now all he drinks is breast milk, he's not even drinking water yet so I have time to contemplate this decision, but I was just curious what other moms thought about it.
