Hoping for the best after a chemical pregnancy.
On March 4th I took a hpt and got a BFP. 😁 I chose to have the pregnancy confirmed at the ER on the 6th. It was confirmed with a blood and urine test. Since I went in complaining of lower right abdominal pain and a history of ovarian cysts, they sent me off for a sono. To my surprise the sonographer did not detect a heartbeat or a gestational sac. She did, however, see what she believed to be a dermoid cyst measuring 3cm. I tried telling myself that I was just early as my HCG levels were only 192.5. I returned to the ER a few hours later in pain and spotting. They tested my beta levels and told me to come back on two days to see if they were rising or falling. My results on that visit were 195.6. I returned on the 8th and found that my levels had went up to 332.6 Not quited doubled but almost. I went home super happy and ready to welcome a new child after 7 years of only having one child. On the 12th I was cramping, having back pain, and bleeding. The bleeding was not as heavy as a period, but not light enough to consider it spotting. The pain was not unbearable. They checked My beta levels again and they had gone up slightly to 456.6. Levels were definitely not rising like they should. I went home scared, but with high hopes that this baby was just a slow starter. On the 13th and 14th I had no spotting and no pain. On the 15th the slight bleeding had returned. On the 15th I saw an OB as well. My levels should be well over 1,000, right? I should be able to see a heartbeat or at least a gestational sac, right?....wrong. He performed the sono and saw nothing. 😪😪😪 He also tested my beta levels and sent me home after diagnosing me with a "threatened abortion". He told me to go to the ER in the event of heavy bleeding and bad cramps related to the "threatened abortion". I went home crying my eyes out. The bleeding stopped and did not return. No pain either, although I was waiting on it. The OB's nurse hadn't called me with any results. On the 20th I grew impatient and called the office and threatened to find another OB because I didn't like the waiting game. They quickly found the nurse and put her on the phone to give me the results. She started the conversation off in such a way that gave me hope. She said, "We usually don't call unless the test results are abnormal." She gave me the negative results of all the other tests (stds and drugs) first and then she told me that my number had dropped to 84. I immediately became upset asking her if she thought that was normal. I had to wait five days to get bad news...SMH. I wasn't expecting to fall pregnant, but now that I had learned that I was, it made me want it even more. I decided to start tracking my cycles again with Glow. Confused on when to start CD1, I went with the 12th, the day the bleeding had returned. I bought cheap ovulation tests from the dollar store. I started testing before Glow said I was fertile because my cycles have always been irregular. To my surprise Glow was ON POINT, or close enough to it. I tested yesterday on the 27th and the test line was almost as dark as the control line, but not quite. I tested again today on the 28th and got a BFP. I used Pre-Seed and BD twice. I plan to BD as much as possible for the next few days faithfully using the Pre-Seed lubricant. According to Glow and my prediction, I am now on CD15. I'm asking the glow community to send baby dust my way. Thanks for letting me share my story and if you're interested I will definitely keep you updated on this post or a new thread. I'm sending tons of baby dust to all those TTC.
