breastfeeding and piercings?

Has anyone else got there nipples pierced and wanted to breastfeed? Is it possible?

Take them out so they can heal. Never breastfeed with them in. They are a choking hazard

I had mine pierced. You are supposed to take them out for each feeding. Which seemed like an awful hassle to me, I took them out at 16 weeks to give them a somewhat decent amount of time to heal.

I gave had my tongue peirced and just from that I would reccomend taking the piercings out for feedings. I tightened the balls all the time but they very regularly would pop out while I was talking.

I would take them out only because those balls can come off so easily, and I would hate to see my daughter choke on one :(

I took mine out. It's not safe to breastfeed while they are in, as the balls could pose a choking hazard if they came loose, and I wasn't about to take them out and put them back in 20 times a day, especially in the middle of the night when I'm exhausted and tired. If I want them redone after baby has stopped BFing, I'll just go get them repierced.
