I'd rather bring my child with me.

Cause I had an asshole, wanting to embarrass me at such an establishment because I refused to let my four year old son use the male bathroom unsupervised. I took him into the female bathroom with me. I throw down with the man and asked him if he wanted my son to go into the bathroom because he wanted to rape him or interfere with him. When I am out at these public places I don't let my little boy out of my sight. So the man is telling me I am raising him wrong because I wouldnt allow my son in the male bathroom alone. I cussed him out.

What kind of moron sends a four year old to a public restroom on their own?

I'll be bringing my son with me (if my baby is a boy) into the female restroom until he's old enough to go by himself in the mens room. Unless my fiance is there then he can take him to the mens room.

My boys are 4 and almost 7. When it is just me, or just the females (their aunt and such) they go to the ladies room with us. If dad or their uncles are with us, then they get to go to the men's restroom with them. I don't even allow my almost 7 year old to go to the restroom alone, too afraid something could happen. My boys do not complain, and i know they are safe.

I have a 4 yr old and ALWAYS take him into the female restroom with me when we're in public. I dare someone to say something to me in the restroom about it.

Once my sons turned 7 I would stand outside of the male bathroom and wait for them . often times yelling in the door just to check :)

I'm taking my kids into the bathroom with me until they are old enough to not get distracted by the automatic crap in there, do their business and get back out. Hell nah am I letting my 4 year old go in there alone though.

I say the child in question should be attended to, whether in the Men's or Women's room, and whether boy or girl. Mostly because little kids tend to be curious and I've had a few times where a little four or five year old has ducked their head down to look at the stall I was in. More for the teaching of bathroom etiquette than anything else.

Nope, mama doesn't play those games. People are crazy and I have to protect my baby.
