Is if weird that I'm 18 and still scared of the dark??

I don't think it's that we are afraid of the dark rather we are afraid of what is in the darkness

I'm 36 & when I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night I put my hands up to the sides of my eyes & look down so that I don't make eye contact with the bathroom mirror cause I'm afraid something other than myself might be looking back at me... I realize how rediculous this is.
