I'm 36w and 4ds and at my 36w appointment my doctor checked and said that I was about 2cm dilated.. does that mean I am close?? I am so done with being pregnant lol. Ohh! And this is my first pregnancy. Idk if that matters or not. Tia!

Unfortunately, being dilated is like your mucus plug, it's no indication of when labor is near. I went from 1-3 in a day and was stuck at 3 for a whole week. You can walk more and do squats to help dilate more but ultimately, baby will come when they're ready 😊😊😊.

No. Dilation means nothing until you go into labor.

With my last pregnancy i was at 4 for like 2 months before going into labor

It depends. I went from 2 to having my baby in a day. Some people stay at 2 for a while. Good luck 😄
