Am I just being a brat?

My boyfriend took it upon himself to invite one of his friends to my baby shower. Somebody I've never met before and he didn't even ask me if she could come. He TOLD me she was coming. And he expects me to just say okay and be all happy about it. He isn't even going to be at the shower so In my opinion that's just awkward for me. Is it wrong for me to say she shouldn't come? Or be upset he invited her without consulting me? I don't want to be a brat but I feel like it's really not fair.

It's his child too, I don't see why his friends shouldn't be allowed to partake in things involving said child. If you don't know her then take time and send her a message and talk to her.

Honestly for me, the bigger issue would be why he's talking to other girls? But I'm married and my husband and I don't have friends of the opposite sex so it's hard to imagine! I do think I'd be upset also if he invited a girl to a private event of mine, that he wouldn't be at. You can be polite in how you address it, just say you don't know her and you don't want to be worried about entertaining a new guest st your baby shower (since she won't know anyone).

It's just another person to bring a gift! It's a little strange that he invited her without consulting you, however he probably meant it with good intentions, to have you meet a friend of his.

Why would he invite a girl you dont know and he wont even be there? Weird if you ask me... He should have asked u first. But It's your day!! Don't let that ruin it. You will have plenty of family and friends to be around. Introduce yourself nicely and then worry about your loved ones the rest of the time.

She lives hours away & has never met you-- there's just no way she'll come, let's be real. Sounds like it was a courtesy invitation. I wouldn't waste another thought on it.

That's a little odd that he invited a girl that you don't know to your baby shower and he's not going to be there. Furthermore I think the girl would feel slightly uncomfortable attending a shower for someone she doesn't know. 🤔 
If it were a co-ed shower, then ya, I think the all the awkwardness wouldn't be so present.
