when do you tell family?

I'm one day late today and I took 3 tests all positive. It's our first baby and we are so happy and a tad nervous! I had a few cramps today but no other symptoms really. Worked out the due date to be December 10th! A Christmas baby ❤️ I'm nervous to tell anyone until after the first scan. I don't want to tempt fate.

Right now my mom is the only one outside me and my husband who knows.

We told some people last time but then I miscarried. And I realized that those were not the people I needed to lean on. So I told one or two friends who didn't know I was pregnant that I miscarried. It was the same for my husband.

You should be happy and not fearful. But if you're private and don't want to share sad news broadly, only tell the people you'd lean on for support if it the worst were to happen.

If you have no issue sharing news about a miscarriage (I know some people don't, and talking about it helps ease any remaining stigma) then tell whoever you want!

But don't spend your time stressing! Statistically speaking you are way more likely to have a healthy and successful pregnancy than not. And worrying won't help anyway.

I usually keep it to close family...i told my hubby, mom, dad and sister immediately.  Then my bff bc its my bestie😊  Otherwise ya need to surprise someone!

With our first baby we waited 2 months to tell family and 3 months to tell everyone else! This baby we are going to try to do the same!

Girl we told everybody! Hehe I'm due December and already looking at cribs. We are already planning a gender reveal party,  have fun! This is my second baby, I had a miscarriage last year but staying positive.  You will be glad when you look back if you have fun 😆

I already told one of my sisters. My other sisters will find out in May when I give my niece an announcement (I'm closer with my niece than those two sisters). My parents won't know until I'm like 16+ weeks and the rest of my family will follow after that when I start posting on social media. I don't know when we'll tell our other kiddos... we'll figure that out as we go. My best friend knows already and our other friend will know in a few weeks.

I found out on Saturday and I'm dying to shout to everyone but I've learnt from experience to wait until at least 12 was just in case. At the end of the day, the choice is yours and it's an amazing thing
