TMI: Period sex, is this normal?

I got an IUD about a month ago and my man has been eager to be able to come in me (there's still a risk, we know). I am technically on my period right now and bleeding a little more than usual with the IUD, but we spontaneously decided to do it last night even though we've never had period sex. Spur of the moment thing. He came in me, and since then, I have completely stopped bleeding. Is this normal? Should I be worried?
