Yay or nay on letting baby sleep in rock and play? (Comment yes or no reason why! )

Yes. My LO has reflux and has been sleeping in his rock and play for about two months now (he's 4 months). It's helped with his reflux tremendously (along with medication).

Until he rolls over I'm going to be keeping him in there, and then go back to his co sleeper.

It isn't safe. Even kids with reflux should lay flat or they can choke on their spit up. New research. Kinda like I was laid on my stomach to sleep. I turned out fine, but SIDS has gone down now that babies are laid on their backs. The evidence is clear.

I let my son sleep in a rock n play for the first 6 weeks or so and I regret it. I didn't do my homework and not only is it not safe, it can also cause flat head which happened to my son. He is now 17 weeks old and his flat head has gotten much better but it is still pretty bad and I am almost certain he will end up in a helmet. And we did TONS of tummy time (10 minutes for every hour he is awake) for anyone that may be wondering and now we do eve more since he can roll onto his tummy. He's basically on his tummy all day now.

My son slept in his swing, you read that right, his SWING, for 6 months. It was fine, except he developed a flat head from being on an incline all night. So please, for your child's future, if you do this give him or her LOTS of tummy time to prevent a flat head.

Depends on if your kid is going to a daycare before age 1. Honestly they sleep better in them just keep an eye on them. Daycare regulations require babies to sleep in cribs so it is super difficult transition for ones who have only napped in bassinets rockers etc.

I ask because my LO hates being on her back. She screams when we put her in the bassinet, pack and play, and crib. I know she's only 3 weeks old and not meant to sleep through the night, that's not my goal, I just want somewhere where she can sleep comfortably.

My daughter slept in hers for naps, which went really well. She's getting almost too big to fit in it now, so we've recently switched to the crib, but when she's at my parents' house that's where she sleeps. Although she's slept in her own crib since we brought her home, the doctor said it was fine when she was sick at 2 months old to use it for sleep at night. We asked because she had such bad congestion, we didn't want her lying flat, but the doctor said that it wasn't that big of a difference in incline, so it wouldn't really matter much in helping congestion, but if it made us feel better at night to go for it.
