pregnancy isn't always great & that's okay.

I LOVE spreading happiness. I do. I try to sprinkle that ish everywhere. But I don't like when moms are made to feel like they should literally be enjoying every second of their pregnancy. Why? Because sometimes it flat out sucks. Everyone's experience is a little different and some people have blissful pregnancies. And then some people are constantly heaving over a toilet bowl (and it's not always the one in your own home. I'm talking to YOU nasty public restroom toilet!). Some women just feel like straight 💩 nearly the entire time. Some women are even hospitalized. And they likely already feel bad for saying out loud that they feel bad or they hate pregnancy. So why on earth day something like "enjoy every minute!"? Nah. I'm going to sit here with my flat ginger soda and crackers and keep it real. Thanks.
You want to say something uplifting? Tell a mama she's blessed. Tell her she's a rockstar. Tell her she's beautiful, strong, going to live her baby to bits. Hell, tell her you just bought her a piece of cake. But don't tell her to enjoy every minute.
