chicken & turkey for a 7 month old baby?

Do you feed your 6-7 month old baby chicken & turkey? Or just fruits and veggies?

We were told no poultry until 8-9 months and no red meat until 10-11, so we haven't tried any yet. He's already having a hard time with constipation since we've started solids anyway, so I'm actually tempted to cut back on what he is getting.

We tried puréed chicken once and it made him constipated so we didn't try meat again for a couple weeks. Tonight I gave him a few bites of ground beef from my taco. He seemed confused by the texture but he accepted more bites when I offered.

Yes!  My son is 7 months and will have chicken 2x a week.  We cooked chicken and veggies in the instant pot and pureeed them and he loved it.  I also offer water after each feeding to help with constipation and hard poops and it seems to help my LO.

I've offered meat and chicken. Meat (beef) she accepts pretty well. I cook it in small pieces with veggies until very soft than I purée it. Chicken I've offered three times, prepared in the same way and she completely refused.

Chicken is my girl's favorite. She doesn't want purees any more, so I just feed her M&M sized pieces of it. She loves scrambled eggs, too.

I steamed a chicken breast with carrots and apples and puréed it. My son loved it
