How many times has your baby been sick so far?

I'm curious to know how often late August and September babies have been sick so far? My son is 7.5 months and has had one small cold so far and he was really quite content through it. He didn't seem to notice. He had it at about 4 months.

I've always heard breastfed babies rarely get sick. My son has been exclusively on formula so I have a theory that it's more so about babies living around germs to build their immunity than breastfeeding. I have 3 dogs so while my house isn't cluttered it isn't a sterile environment that many babies are brought home to. I never sterilized his Bottles, etc.

Twice. First time was after his two month doctor's checkup. I caught a massive cold from the waiting room and didn't really realize how to protect him from it (continued to kiss him etc). He had minor congestion mainly but it seemed like a huge deal to me 😂

Then the second time at four months after we went to a protest / parade. That time he had a slight fever as well. He's breastfed.

My lo started out being breastfeed but for my health I had to switch her to formula only at 2 1/2 months and she's had a cold, the stomach flu twice, and now a uti. She's 6months now

My exclusively formula fed baby has never been sick. She just turned 7 months last week. She's been around sick babies and people at her well baby checkups, family gatherings, on planes, etc so I keep waiting for her to catch something, but nothing yet. I haven't had a cold in years (and I was also a formula fed baby, though I doubt it makes any difference) so maybe it's genetic.

Agree with you fully. Let them have germs they are less sick. My breast fed baby was my sickest. I think it's more genetics and environment

My girl's breastfed and has had 2 colds, both with fevers. She's around her cousins who are 4 years old and 6 months old and the two of them are ALWAYS sick before she is, so she's getting it from them. But she's never had anything really terrible. This last cold has made her pretty miserable, but she's also teething.

My daughter is formula fed and has been sick only once. I believe she got sick from her cousin who was sick at the time (I didn't know this until after that he was sick). My husband and I have been sick at least 4 times since my daughter has been born and she has avoided every single one of them.
