help with sleep
i know, it's like super late to be trying to work on sleep training but we've tried multiple times since my son was born and could never find a bedtime routine that really helps without just overstimulating him. up until now i've just been nursing my son to sleep and then when he's totally passed out i move him to his crib. he was sleeping about 5-6 hours before waking to eat since about three months so i thought maybe i just got lucky and he will be like this forever. nope. i was wrong. and it's biting me in the butt lol. now suddenly he's waking up every two to three hours tops, not cuz he's hungry but just lightly rousing and moving around but it's like he doesn't know how to drift back off without me nursing him. i don't really know what is the best way to fix this. i don't want to do the cry it out method but nothing else really soothes him except nursing. i've tried rocking while humming, just rocking by itself, standing by his crib and making shhh noises without picking him up, but no matter what he always just wants to comfort suck. any advice ?
