Bleeding after a sono

Has anyone had a sono done where thy insert a catheter full of water to check your uterus?! Well I had one done on Monday and have been bleeding bright red blood quite heavily is this normal? Or should I be contacting someone? As this is my ovulation week as well so I don't know if the bleeding will interrupt my ovulation. The doctors did say this type of sono can make you more fertile as its cleaning everything out. So please anyone that has any info on this I'd love to hear from you.
