Cholestasis of pregnancy
Has anyone ever been diagnosed with Cholestasis of pregnancy? I was referred to Maternal Fetal Medicine because of itching and lab levels. Seriously all signs point to it. Even that doctor said so, but he doesn't want to diagnose me yet because it "usually only appears in the 3rd trimester." So he's referring me to a Gastroenterologist. My labs are so bad they show liver failure. I was an occasional drinker and I use that term lightly. Like MAYBE a glass of wine once a month. MAYBE. I just feel like if all the signs are there why not diagnose me now and keep evaluating me especially since it could be fatal for the baby?
