How long & what worked?

Ya'll I'm wondering from those that have struggled to conceive, how long did it take you and what worked for you?

Took 13 months and I tried everything from opks, preeseed, soft cups, Lots of pills and nothing worked until one day I got down on my knees on my bathroom floor and sobbed while begging God for a baby. Got BFP  on Fathers Day. Hubs cried. Baby girl is now 7 weeks. My advice is quit everything and give it to God.

It took 8 years and multiple miscarriages before my rainbow came. I was at the doctor for a routine check up and when she asked if I had any other concerns. I told her 1. I was always tired, no matter how much sleep I got 2. My periods were always super heavy, clotty, and debilitatingly crampy 3. I could get pregnant,  after many, many months- and then never carry past 8 or so weeks. She  ordered some blood work and found that I have a genetic mutation called MTHFR and she got me on multiple supplements. Low and behold, 8 months later I got pregnant! No pricey injections or anything extreme. Literally, just take the supplements (mine was a compound of methylfolate, vitamin D, B, iron, and acetylcystine). My body cannot process folic acid in its synthetic form (which is how it's normally found today), and so my folic acid level was practically non-existant. MTHFR is actually quite common, apparently, but a lot of health care professionals don't know much about it. Heck, even my current OB (who, in fact, did NOT diagnose me) didn't even know much about it. I actually helped him out because he had to consult with several other high risk OBs during my pregnancy, just to make sure he was giving me the right care.  I'm 5.5 months postpartum and I still have to take my meds daily because of rusk of blood clots. There are several variations of this mutation that people can have and symptoms can vary immensely. I feel blessed to have been seen by that wonderful woman that day 2 years ago. She literally changed my life!
