pregnant? or not?

Question

My sister in law took two tests before her doctors visit and it showed negative. Then after her doctors, she came back and said he told her she was pregnant. Well, today I found a new pregnancy test laying on the floor and it showed negative...so what could this possibly mean? 
BTW, me and her is the only adult woman figure in the household, everybody else is kids (3 of them lol)

Some women never show a positive at home pregnancy test. Hopefully that's the case with her. You'll find out soon enough. Either she'll actually be pregnant or she'll have a "miscarriage".

The test can't be old bc the receipt was right next to it and we just cleaned up the house the other day, def after the doctors appoint last week

Not sure what the purpose of lying would be, pretty shady if you ask me. Hopefully that's not the case.
