Another C section?

I had an emergency c section 4 months ago. I was wondering, if I decided to have another baby. What's my "window" for an elective c section? I would like to have another baby via c section (as I'm pretty scared of tearing like my mum did even after she had filly healed!)

You will likely be offered another Cesarean no matter what. You have to really ask for a VBAC usually

You have to see a special OB that specializes in VBACs in order to have one so the chances of you NOT having a second csection are pretty slim. Not many docs do the vabcs

I had an emergency c section with my son in August of 2013. I'm now almost 32 weeks with my second child and as far as I know I'll have a scheduled c section at 39 weeks. It depends on why you needed an emergency c section the first time around... I have the option of trying to push but because I pushed with my son for 3 1/2 hours, his head ended up getting stuck under my pelvic bone, and his heart rate dropped so my doctor recommends a c section. Now if I was to go into labor before 39 weeks I may try to push. You'd need to talk to your doctor about your options.

If you had a c-section the first time , the doctor will let you pick that again if you want. I want to try for a vbac. My doctor is fine with that since the only reason I had a c-section was because of twins , and this time there's only one baby.

My kids are years apart and age and since I had an emergency c section with the first I elected to do a c section this time. My Dr was fine with it. Many Dr's prefer that over vbac.
