announcing too early?

We are currently 6 1/2 weeks and so far everything looks fine, although we haven't seen a heartbeat yet the doctors did not seem worried and just said it was too early. We have another ultrasound at 8 weeks where we are hoping to see a strong heartbeat! We would love to announce that day if everything is going well! What do you guys think ? Too early to announce at 8 weeks?

We announced at 8 weeks. I think I read a statistic somewhere that said once you hear/see a heartbeat your miscarriage risk drops to like 5% or some crazy low number. If you wanna do it, do it :)

I'll preach it forever, when YOU feel comfortable announcing go for it. I look at it this way, if you have a happy, healthy pregnancy and you tell right away everyone is so excited to share the journey with you and if something were to happen and you told early you have that much more support. I look at it positively on both ends bc I had a MC last year. Found out 10/30 I was pregnant, told EVERYONE bc my hubby and I had been trying for so long, got so excited and the very next morning I ended up having a MC. The amount of support we had was absolutely AMAZING although things didn't turn out as planned. I'm currently 15W with my rainbow and we announced at 7W to the whole world bc everything has been perfect! ❤️ Congrats and good luck momma!

I think you should tell people when you're ready not when other people think it's okay! I told my Fiancé, mum, sister dad and his parents and brother the day after we found out at 4 weeks. Anything can happen at any point and it's nice to know I'd have that support!

I'm 5 weeks 5 days and we have told family and some friends. We've had 3 miscarriages and I learned my lesson that I want and need the support of the people around me if something does go wrong. However, some people like privacy when they're grieving, so it's totally up to you!

I say if that appointment goes well, tell! :) IF something bad happens, you'll need the support. Trust me. Been there twice. But, if it goes well, the chances of losing baby after you've found the heartbeat drop drastically.

With our first pregnancy we were so excited we announced right away to family and friends. It was really difficult because we miscarried pretty soon after that. We went on to have 2 more miscarriages. Celebrate your happiness with your loved ones but always remember that there is significant risk. That's why a lot of people wait until the end of the first trimester to share. Good luck!

Our first pregnancy I was 6 weeks when we announced it thinking everything was fine as we'll the next week ultrasound no heartbeat I was so embarrassed I would wait till 12 weeks to be safe this pregnancy we waited till 12 weeks I am now 27 weeks
