2 weeks behind with very low heartbeat... how bad is this?

Went for my first ultrasound today. According to this app I should have been 8 weeks. But the doctor said I'm only 5 weeks 5 days. Anyone else ever had that big a difference in dates? Makes my worried baby isn't growing like it should.
