Owning pets while receiving...

Government aid. ie; medicaid, foodstamps... that kind of thing. What are your thoughts? Do you think people should own pets as well?

Edit: I think it needs to be said that I am personally not against people owning pets receiving help. Not at all. I thought it would be a nice topic to talk about that was contraversal.
