MRI and nipple piercings??

Question

So I have to get an MRI done of my pituitary gland to see if I have a benign brain tumor. 
I got my nipples pierced in the beginning of January, so they're not fully healed yet. 
I really don't want to take them out, because I know they will close up and then that's $90 down the drain. 
What will happen if I leave them in during a head MRI?

Ask a piercer. They may be able to take it out and put plastic ones in for the time being

There are MRI safe metals. APP certified piercers carry them. Normally titanium. Surgical steel and others have a magnetic quality to them which will cause them to be ripped out etc.

If you leave them in they can rip out or move around which is very painful, you will be able to take them out without them healing over
