How much Vomit is to much?

So like the last 2 days, he has been throwing up right after he eats. He did it 3 times yesterday and twice so far today and it's 10:10 AM here. It's like projectile too. I've heard people say babies do it all the time...but is there a certain amount when you should worry?

I heard if they projectile more than once to call the doctor.. I'd give them a cal just to be on the safe side especially if LO isn't keeping much down!

Projectile vomit can be associated with reflux. I'd talk to a doctor. My daughter has mild reflux and she spits up frequently but never had projectile vomiting. I keep her up after feeds and avoid laying her down for 20-30 minutes after.

Spit up is not projectile. I would definitely recommend calling your doc. As a pediatric nurse I saw newborn with projectile vomiting and this can mean a problem that needs intervention, not to scare you but better safe than sorry.

I second calling the doctor. In the mean time, have you tried decreasing the amount he eats? For breastfeeding that might mean less time than usual. See how he does with that.

When you say projectile what do you mean? My little one spits up after every feed and sometimes for about an hour after 🙄 it seems like his entire feed his coming back up and depending on what angle I have him at it seems like it's projectile vomit but he just has good range 😂 I spoke to my health visitor about it and she said it's normal and nothing to worry about, I just have to make sure I have plenty of muslin cloths to hand and that he wears a bib for a while after wards.

BUT if you are worried, there's no harm in speaking to a professional about it, that's what they are there for.
