Potty trained??

Question

What is the best age to potty trained your child!! In my opinion before school because they will not get any assistance in school ! What are your opinions ladies???once the child is fully trained do parents need to take them n help them to the public toilets???

Children definitely get help in preschool, at least where my daughter goes they do. She's in a class that doesn't have potty training as a requirement.

My daughter was potty training at two and a half, fully done by three. We just ditched diapers and bought her undies without looking back. Thankfully it worked.

You do need to help them in a public restroom. Not many three year olds can climb onto a toilet, sit their small bums properly where they won't fall in, and wipe in a correct manner.

I started introducing my daughter with her potty chair around 1 year old. Just help her realize what it was and stuff. I'd leave her naked all day and if she started peeing I'd just sit her on her potty or I'd take her every 20-30 min and sit her on it. Whenever I went to the bathroom I made it clear to her that mommy was going potty in the toilet. I reduced drinks at night and I had her completely potty trained and no bed wets at night when she was a year and half!

If you let their teachers know that they are not potty trained they'll normally assist...also if you decide to start training you should let them know so they don't disturb the routine. I say no later than age 3 for training I didn't get my girl fully trained until she was 4 and that was a terrible decision. It's always a great idea to go to the restroom with them especially in public I hate going into those bathrooms and I can monitor my child by going. For my daughter I let her stand on the toilet while I hold her and she squats and pees I'll do the same with my son except I'll let him face the toilet and go potty.
