labor??

Question

I'm 32 weeks, I started having mild cramping in my back, like a period and it's going to my stomach, they were mild too, but now they're getting stronger? I feel like I'm wet down there too, so I put a pad on?? Is this labor or what? I'm also starting to get really hot.

I would go in for a check up .. however it's common to have contractions at this week.  As long as they aren't super painful or constant (min or two apart ) you're fine.  They are called Braxton hicks and it's your bodies way of getting ready for real labor.  They are essentially practice contractions.  Yes they can hurt a bit and you may notice them more if you're out walking,  having sex .. ect . As far as the increased wetness .. as long as you aren't literally dripping a water like substance you should be fine.  Increased discharge , I even a decent amount is perfectly normal and expected at this stage.  I'll still call and schedule an appointment, but all your symptoms sound normal and it really sounds like your body is just preparing itself for labor !!!

Start timing when you feel it. If its erratic intervals it's Braxton hicks. If they are around the same time and getting shorter its labor. Rest and put your feet up. Call your ob.
