when to announce

Question

I'm finding it so hard to keep this secret! When I had my first appointment with the midwife she put me one week ahead of what I thought, which would make me 12 weeks already, so I've been gearing up to tell everyone, and work of course.. - right after the first scan which was yesterday..

Low and behold - I'm 11 weeks like I thought, and so the baby was too small to run the screening tests so I'm booked in again for may 5- and so I feel torn between just waiting another week, telling now or waiting until may 5. I'm feel like I'm going mad..

I announced at 11 weeks but my situation was a little different. I was 12 weeks this last Saturday but it was my sister in laws bridal shower as well and I didn't want to share on her day. I decided since Easter was 11 weeks to share then. That way my SIL still got her day and I got to do a fun easter themed announcement.

This time we announced to family and friends right away and then everyone else around 10 weeks. We have a 3 year old and two missed miscarriages following her but this is the farthest we've gotten since my daughter. With both our miscarriages people at work found out anyway so I figured why not tell? I'm a pretty open person and don't feel woman should be ashamed of a miscarriage...I would want their support! 
I'm still beyond terrified but having horrible morning sickness and bloating so I couldn't hide it anymore! We'll officially announce it (social media) when we reach the second trimester :) Good luck!!
