How do you feel about polygamous/polyamorous relationships?

Do you think that people should be happy, even if it's in a nontraditional relationship? Is it weird in your eyes?How would you feel if they have children? Do you think polygamous/polyamorous marriages will be the next thing to be legalized?

I don't believe people are meant to be monogamous. I am because of society and it works for me, but I don't believe monogamy would be so popular.

I wish people would be more open and honest which polygamy promotes.

I personally feel like it's just open cheating. I don't agree with it and it's actually legal if it is a religious tradition (i.e. Mormons). But if it's just because they have issues settling down with someone then I don't agree with it. If you can't be loyal then be single because then it doesn't matter what you do or when you do it or with whom you do it (as long as it's legal) because you're single. If you want more than one partner then being single is the easiest. Idk just my opinion.

I actually am polyamorous. Honestly, it isn't for everyone, and I haven't really thought about  it in a long-term sense. For my s/o and I, it's about sex, so if we ever had kids, I doubt our polyamory would affect them.

Idk, like of course I believe people should do what they want and be with those that they love. It's just not the norm in most places, so it's a little weird. But like if I were to meet someone who was in a polyamorous relationship, I wouldn't judge them. People should be able to be happy and in love with whom ever they choose. I wouldn't want to be judged for loving who I love, so I'm not gonna do it to others.

I think that for those who it works for, good on them. In a true polyamorous relationship, everyone is open and honest with each other about what's going on. That's a lot healthier than some monogamous relationships out there.

That said, not everyone is wired for it. My man and I definitely aren't, and I never was. That didn't stop poly people from wanting me to be poly with them, which I won't do.

I get confused by the motives. Why have a main relationship but with casual sex on the side (If that's what most poly couples do)? and why not just call it casual sex? If it's multiple committed relationships, doesn't that get emotionally draining? It seems a bit useless based on what I look for in a relationship

I went to college with a couple in a poly relationship. They had two beautiful daughters.
