No one respected my wishes!

Andie
Baby was born today and she's beautiful! My husband and I told our parents we didn't want visitors during delivery or until tomorrow morning so we could get settled and get breastfeeding started and I knew I'd probably feel icky with all the bleeding.
But my MIL showed up at labor and delivery. My husband went and quickly ate lunch with her and repeated our wishes. Then, as I was getting sent up to the postpartum floor, she was there waiting and demanded to hold the baby. She said she couldn't wait any longer. I said me too, I've been waiting to give birth to my daughter and wanted to spend time with her.
Then, as soon as she left, my parents showed up. The nurse had to do my exam while they were in the room and it was super awkward. Then, when they left, my FIL showed up. Baby started fussing because she wanted to eat and he wouldn't take a hint.
Anyway - any mamas out there that want some privacy during labor or right after birth, don't trust that people will respect your wishes. Tell the nurses not to let anyone in!
Also be sure to tell everyone you know not to post on social media before you. I made the mistake of assuming people knew that and my SIL posted a photo (that was texted to her) of my baby before I put anything up.
