Also, what if it's two women marrying? Would they both need to take each others maiden name? Seems pointless

It's her decision, she doesn't have to.

I didn't take my husband's name and I'm not sure if I ever will. My mom got remarried when I was a toddler and we never had the same last name growing up and there were never any problems with it.

Not if they don't want to. I changed my name because I wanted to, but nobody has to.

In the province of Quebec, a woman cannot change her name when she marries, since 1981. 
(Unless, of course, she wants to pay for a legal name change). 
My mom still has trouble answering to "Mrs.  (maiden name)" lol

It's the woman's choice. I did! I was very happy to get rid of my my maiden name,my abusive fathers name, and can pretend I'm not related to his side of the family

It should be their decision. I honestly don't get how you could say that "THEY should". How is it your business/why do you care what others do with their last name?

I just read an article of a bunch of men and women saying it is "messed up" and "disrespectful" if the wife doesn't take their husbands last name. In my Opinion it is their decision but I just wanted to see what the Glow community's​ opinions were.
