Overweight but now worrying about weight gain.

I'm now 15 weeks pregnant and I've never been someone to be concerned about my weight.. I'm 5'8'' and around 245lbs before pregnancys so technically obese by BMI.

My midwife gave me the lecture about eating healthy and so on (which I generally do) and said about a total weight gain of only around a stone should be what I aim for.

So now I'm 15 weeks thinking I've got 25 to go with a maximum of 14lbs which is around 0.5lbs per week. I haven't actually gained any weight yet and actually lost a few pounds during the first few weeks of pregnancy unintentionally. When should I start gaining weight and by how much? I definitely got a belly starting to show so I know I'm not getting physically smaller?

And I'm now stressing myself about 'dieting' and only eating healthy food and turning down anything else and am actually scared of seeing when I start to gain weight. I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks in 3 days and actualy woke up after a nightmare that I come back and weigh myself and have gained a stone which is my whole pregnancy allowance (extreme I know but it's really getting to me).

Is anyone else being advised similar or how are you going through pregnancy weight gain being overweight/obese to begin with?
